Daniel Wayne

Daniel Wayne is a partner and co-founder of Wolford Wayne LLP. Daniel has spent his entire legal career dedicated to fighting on behalf of tenants, with a practice focused on wrongful and constructive eviction lawsuits, habitability claims, and buyout negotiations. He has resolved hundreds of cases on behalf of Bay Area tenants and helped his clients recover millions of dollars.

Daniel serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the SFTLA Diversity Committee, as well as on the San Francisco Bar Association’s Real Property Executive Committee. Daniel was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star every year from 2016 – 2023, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of attorneys in Northern California; and a Super Lawyer for the past three years (2024–2026), an honor bestowed on just 5% of California attorneys.

Daniel has been featured in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal on issues facing Bay Area tenants. Daniel volunteer with the San Francisco Tenant’s Union and has spoken before numerous legal groups on topics such as Airbnb and short-term rental legislation, tenancy buyouts, and habitability litigation.
